Home Sunbed Hire Terms & Conditions

LIABILITY

The person arranging and/or signing for the delivery of the hired sunbed (“the Hirer”) must be aged 18 years or over and provide two valid forms of identification upon delivery, including one photographic ID and one proof of address matching the delivery address.
The Hirer accepts full responsibility for the sunbed and all accessories from the time of delivery until collection by TanCentre Hire Limited. The Hirer must not allow any person under the age of 18 to use the equipment under any circumstances.

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the equipment is kept safe, undamaged and located at the original delivery address always. Any loss, theft, damage, misuse, accidental damage, neglect, unauthorised movement or tampering with the equipment will render the Hirer fully liable for all associated costs, including but not limited to repair costs, full retail replacement value, loss of hire revenue, recovery charges, administration costs and legal fees incurred by the Company.

All customers are required to sign the Company’s Sunbed Hire Rental Agreement upon delivery. By signing the Agreement, the Hirer authorises TanCentre Hire Limited to charge the payment card used for the booking deposit for any outstanding balances, late return charges, damage charges, recovery costs or breaches of these Terms & Conditions.

INDEMNITY
 

All users of the hired equipment are instructed to read the advisory safety information supplied with the hire and display the Health & Safety Executive UV Tanning Information Poster provided by the Company in a visible location for all users.

Use of UV tanning equipment is entirely at the user’s own risk. TanCentre Hire Limited accepts no liability whatsoever for burns, injuries, skin damage, allergic reactions, medical complications or any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from the use, misuse or inability to use the hired equipment.

PAYMENT & PRE-BOOKINGS

A £50 deposit is required to secure all bookings and must be paid by debit or credit card. The payment card must be registered to both the Hirer and the delivery address stated on the Rental Agreement.

The remaining hire balance is payable on or before delivery day. Deposits are non-refundable once a booking slot has been allocated.

If paying by cash on delivery, customers must ensure the exact balance is available, as drivers do not carry change for security reasons. TanCentre Hire Limited will contact the Hirer prior to delivery to confirm the remaining balance and to provide an estimated delivery time slot.

DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Deliveries and collections operate on Fridays between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Whilst exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed, customers will usually receive a narrowed delivery or collection window once delivery routes have been finalised, when possible we will advise the day before.

The Hirer must ensure safe, clear and unobstructed access to the property on both delivery and collection days. Vehicles obstructing access may result in delays or failed delivery/collection charges.

Collection access is required from 8:00am onwards on the agreed collection date, as all collections are prioritised before deliveries. The hired sunbed must be fully disconnected and available for collection from the original delivery address.

We do not deliver to flats, apartments, maisonettes or caravan park sites.

TanCentre Hire Limited will send a reminder prior to the end of the hire period confirming the scheduled collection date.

RE-HIRES & EXTENSIONS

Customers wishing to extend their hire period (“Re-Hire”) must contact TanCentre Hire Limited no later than close of business on the Tuesday prior to the scheduled Friday collection date. Due to exceptionally high demand and waiting lists, all available sunbeds are reallocated to waiting customers on Wednesdays.

Failure to notify the Company before the Tuesday deadline means any rehire request made after this time cannot be guaranteed and the equipment will be scheduled for collection on the Friday as per our terms & conditions.

It is entirely the Hirer’s responsibility to contact the Company should they wish to extend the hire period. TanCentre Hire Limited is under no obligation to contact customers regarding extensions or rehiring.

Where a rehire is approved, and unless agreed by the company full rehire payment must be received no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled Friday collection date. Failure to make payment within this timeframe will result in the equipment being collected and reallocated to another customer without further notice.

If the Company is unable to collect the equipment on the agreed date due to lack of access, obstruction, absence of the Hirer or any issue outside the Company’s control, continued hire charges of £30 per day will apply until successful collection has been completed.

IMPORTANT UV TANNING INFORMATION

 

Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from tanning equipment or natural sunlight can cause skin and eye damage. Overexposure may result in burns, premature skin ageing and an increased risk of skin cancer.

Repeated UV exposure may also increase the risk of eye conditions, including cataracts and retinal damage. Certain medications, medical conditions and cosmetic products may increase sensitivity to UV radiation.

If in doubt, seek medical advice before using tanning equipment.
 

The following precautions must always be followed:

1.    Protective eyewear provided must always be worn.
2.    Remove cosmetics before exposure and do not use sunscreens.
3.    Do not use the sunbed whilst taking medication that increases UV sensitivity unless medically advised.
4.    Do not use the sunbed more than once within a 24-hour period.
5.    Follow all recommended exposure times and guidance provided.
6.    Seek medical advice if unusual skin changes occur.
7.    Do not use the sunbed in bathrooms or damp environments.
8.    Do not dismantle, tamper with or attempt to repair the equipment.
9.    Ensure ventilation areas always remain unobstructed.
